Mission: Impossible 7's Key Element Was Changed Because It Resembled Lord of the Rings

Test screenings are an ideal way to see if all the elements in a movie fit together. Christopher McQuarrie, director of Mission: Impossible 7 has found that out when he decided to make a significant change regarding "Being" after one such screening.

What was it about? Originally, "Being" was supposed to be shown on the screen in red, but viewers who were lucky enough to see the movie at test screenings decided, that it was too similar to eye of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings.

This is admitted by Christopher McQuarrie in a recent interview with the Empire magazine.

Finally, let's recall that Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One achieved quite a bit of success. The next installment of the series starring Tom Cruise managed to collect more than $522 million worldwide.
