He's been doing so ever since, but in the meantime, he learned how to combine the enjoyable with the useful (yes, computers are not just for gaming!). He has been collaborating with GOL since March 2008 - he started with news, then moved on to journalism, and at the same time, he contributed content to Gameplay. Currently, he primarily creates graphics visible on the main page of the website (and beyond) and takes care of film trivia for Filmomaniak. Privately, he's a father, husband, podcaster (he has been co-creating the Podcast Hammerzeit for 8 years), and a consumer of pop culture - both the visual kind (he always finds time for a good film and TV series) and the auditory kind (especially when it sounds like an electric guitar). Hubert Sosnowski Hubert Sosnowski Editor-In-Chief of Bingefire.com. Enamored with racoons, cars and thrash metal, a man sentenced to the keyboard. He learned to write articles while working for the Dzika Banda (The Wild Bunch) website. His texts were published on kawerna.pl, film.onet.pl, zwierciadlo.pl, and in the Polish edition of Playboy. In 2017, he joined GRYOnline.pl as an author of texts about games and movies. He is currently the head of the film department and the Filmomaniak.pl portal. He lives for "middle cinema" and meaty entertainment, but he won't refuse experiments or "Fast and Furious." Graduated in cultural studies at the University of Białystok. Had his head blown by Todd McFarlane, David Fincher, Paul Verhoeven, Steven Erikson, Joe Abercrombie, Don Winslow and J. Michael Straczynski. He has published stories in the Science Fiction Fantasy and Horror monthly and in the first volume of the Wolsung Anthology. Someday, he will finish a book, for real! In a deep need for Dodge Charger or BMW e39 M5. Marek Jura Marek Jura In 2016, he completed his philosophy degree at UAM. Since then, he has been reviewing prose, poetry, films, series, and games, usually for GOL (2020). He also ran his own business - designing, assembling, testing, and selling board games. He enjoys modding games. He has also published several short stories and is preparing his debut volume of poems. He took his first steps in the industry as a newsman for a local tabloid (not recommended). He trains in martial arts. And yes, he's still trying to do a Kamehameha. He is a feminist, a vegan, a pineapple on pizza lover, a cat person. He doesn't like Bethesda and Amazon, but he does like Lovecraft, Agents of SHIELD, Planescape: Torment, Beksinski, Hollow Knight, performance art, abstract art, and pierogi. Karol Laska Karol Laska His adventure with journalism began with a personal blog, the name of which is no longer worth quoting. Then he interpreted Iranian dramas and the Joker, writing for cinematography journal, which, sadly, no longer exists. His writing credentials include a degree in film studies, but his thesis was strictly devoted to video games. He has been writing for Gamepressure since March 2020, first writing a lot about movies, then in the newsroom, and eventually, he became a specialist in everything. He currently edits and writes articles and features. A long-time enthusiast of the most bizarre indie games and arthouse cinema. He idolizes surrealism and postmodernism. He appreciates the power of absurdity. Which is probably why he also tried soccer refereeing for 2 years (with so-so results). He tends to over-philosophize, so watch out. Martin Nothing Martin Nothing He began his writing adventure on the now-defunct Mobilny Świat (Mobile World). He then wandered through various technology websites. Although he's not a typical gamer, with only Football Manager on his computer, he landed at GOL last year. There isn't a day when he doesn't watch reviews of new smartphones, so initially, he wrote about all kinds of technology. Over time, however, he shifted his interests more towards cinematography. For most of the year, he goes sleepless, as he stays up late to watch NBA games. Nevertheless, he still believes that Michael Jordan is better than LeBron James, and that 90s basketball was more visually pleasing. Jan Tracz Jan Tracz Graduated Film Studies (BA i MA) at King's College London in the United Kingdom. Currently, he writes for the Collider, WhyNow, Ayo News, Interia Film, Przegląd, Film.org.pl, and GRY-OnLine portals. He has had publications in British Thoughts Magazine, Miesięcznik KINO, Magazyn PANI, WP Film, NOIZZ, Papaya Rocks, Tygodnik Solidarność, and Filmawka. He has also collaborated with Rock Radio and Movies Room. He has conducted interviews with, among others, Alejandro González Ińárritu, Lasse Hallström, Michel Franco, Matthew Lewis, and David Thomson. His published works include an essay in the anthology "Nikt Nikomu Nie Tłumaczy: Świat według Kiepskich w kulturze" (Brak Przypisu Publishing, 2023). He was awarded the Leopold Unger Scholarship in 2023. Krzysztof Lewandowski Krzysztof Lewandowski He started writing on the GameExe.pl portal at the age of 14. Initially, he reviewed books, but he didn't stop there, and on various online portals, he analised games, movies, series, and comics. His interests led him to pursue studies in journalism, Polish philology, and psychology, which he completed at UKSW, UW, and SWPS. There, he wrote, among other things, his thesis on the contemporary role of black and white cinema. He has been working at GOL since August 2021. He writes articles and reviews of games, movies, and series, and since July 2023, he has been serving as a Content Creation Specialist in the Paid Products department. He is the author of a scientific article titled "Internet Dynamics and Language Behavior," published in the book "Online Relationships." He co-created a dictionary of local place names in the Warsaw district of Wawer. He tried his hand at poetry, but in the future, he would prefer to write a novel. He is particularly fond of surrealistic themes and RPGs. Edyta Jastrzebska Edyta Jastrzebska A graduate in journalism and social communication as well as cultural studies, she has been associated with GRYOnline.pl from the beginning of her career. She started as one of the newsmen in the movie department and currently oversees the film newsroom at Bingefire.com and Filmomaniak.pl, where she also handles editing. She excels in the field of film and television, both those grounded in reality and in the realm of fantasy. She keeps up with industry trends, but in her free time, she prefers to explore lesser-known titles. As for popular ones, she has a complicated relationship with them, often waiting until the buzz around them subsides before giving them a chance. She loves spending her evenings not only with films, TV series, books, and even video games but also with text-based RPGs, which she has been engaged in for over a decade. Aleksandra Wolna Aleksandra Wolna For GRYOnline.pl (and now Bingefire.com), she has been writing since March 2022, usually during the night, focusing on both gaming and film journalism. She works on game design in her daily life, so she has an in-depth understanding of the industry. She has been playing games since she was young; she often chooses JRPGs or indie games, although she also has a huge soft spot for 3D platformers. She excels in the written word, so combining text creation with her passion for games is a natural progression for her. In her private life, she collects Tamagotchis and takes care of her small feline family. She willingly shares her favorite games, cat photos, and various other things on Instagram. Zbigniew Woznicki Zbigniew Woznicki He began his adventure with journalism and writing on Allegro, where you can still find his news related to games, technology, and social media. Soon after, he arrived at GRY-OnLine and Filmomaniak, where you can admire the updates and news from the film industry presented by him. Despite his association with TV series, his heart belongs to games of all kinds. No genre scares him, and his journey with Tibia taught him that the sky and music in games are entirely unnecessary. He could share his experiences while moderating the mmorpg.org.pl forum years ago, but under a different username to remain untraceable. As befits a true Pole, he loves to complain, but of course, constructively and in moderation. Kamil Kleszyk Kamil Kleszyk An introvert by nature. Since childhood, he felt a closer connection to humanism than to the sciences. Instead of exercises in maths, he preferred shutting himself up in his world and inventing new stories of his favorite anime – Dragon Ball. After years of study came a time of stagnation, which he preferred to call "searching for purpose." Looking out for destiny during the 58th screening of his beloved Die Hard, he decided – like John McCLane – to fight for a better future. He found the avenue to do this in Gamepressure. Since he's still a freshman in the newsroom, he doesn't have a target subject he wants to focus on yet. So, you can expect news about farming simulators, or the impact of Johnny Depp's trial on the future of Pirates of the Caribbean. If you ever hear that playing console games and watching movies is futile – remember this story Aleksandra Wosz Aleksandra Wosz She began her writing adventure at Filmomaniak in December 2022, previously only writing as a hobby. She adores all kinds of trivia, so on the website, she deals with film and TV news. It all started when little Ola eagerly watched her parents play the first games from the Tomb Raider series or "farmer" - better known as Harvest Moon. She reached the point where she realized she had a chance to experience millions of lives through various works. A passionate fan of musicals who has to watch Hamilton at least once a year. An enthusiast of Dan Brown's books, The Office series, and The Umbrella Academy. Agata Marczewska Agata Marczewska Pop culture is an integral part of her life. For this reason, her writing adventure began at a very young age when she started writing for school newsletters. When the important moment of choosing a field of study arrived, she unhesitatingly chose journalism and social communication. She has been writing for Filmomaniak since January 2023. She doesn't know what sleep is because she needs to stay up to date with news from the world of film and television. In terms of cinema, she is a passionate fan of independent films, although she won't refuse an exceptionally good blockbuster. She hates restricting herself to specific film genres. However, she loves satires, dark comedies, dramas, fantasy, and feminist productions the most. Mateusz Libera Mateusz Libera He embarked on his writing adventure by creating stories during high school, later taking the humanistic path by choosing studies in journalism and social communication. He initially published his first texts on his personal blog and in competitions. At the beginning of 2023, he joined the film department of the Gry-OnLine.pl editorial team, where he began working as an author of articles on film-related topics. In addition to this, he is interested in fantasy, history, RPGs, and strategy games. He is also a longtime League of Legends player - he has been playing since the second season. Furthermore, he writes adventure and fantasy books, although he is still a debutant in this field. He currently has one collection of short stories in the publishing market. Pamela Jakiel Pamela Jakiel Editor at Filmomaniak since April 2023 and now also at Bingefire.com. She supports the leading editor and the head of all newsmen. She previously wrote for naEkranie. A film scholar, a graduate of MISH at the Jagiellonian University. Her master's thesis focused on new spirituality in contemporary cinema. If she's not watching The Ninth Gate for the hundredth time, she's reading books by Therese Bohman and Donna Tartt for the first time. She prefers gnosis and dramas over horror films, Jung over Freud. In museums, she seeks out symbolist paintings, and in her dreams, she develops themes for her future novels. She runs long distances, even longer on gravel roads. She adores dachshunds. Marcel Bojar Marcel Bojar Hopelessly in love with cinema from a very young age. He completed a course at the Wajda School and then worked on several film sets. Currently, he works in a cinema where, in addition to regular screenings, he also leads New Horizons Film Education, sharing his passion and knowledge with children of all ages. He started at GOL in May 2023. He primarily focuses on film news, and this marks his debut in journalism. A few years ago, he gave up sitting at a desk and playing on a PC in favor of playing console games on the couch, and he is very comfortable with that choice. Working in the cinema allows him to stay up to date with the latest films, but he secretly admits that playing the same title several times a day can be both exhausting and helpful, especially for memorizing Disney song lyrics. He would like to finally make his own film, although he started claiming that he's too old for it. Patrycja Otfinowska Patrycja Otfinowska She began her "serious" writing adventure in June 2023 at Filmomaniak, previously writing stories about her favorite literary characters. By education, she's a Polish language teacher, but her love for films and TV series took precedence over teaching, which is why she deals with cinema news on the website. She's unafraid of any genre: she's equally willing to watch "Tokio Drift" for the hundredth time or blindly venture to the cinema to see a niche film. She has an unhealthy fascination with "The Witcher," and whenever she can, she replays "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." She reads books in wholesale quantities, claiming she can extract profound thoughts from each one. When she finally tears herself away from the screen, she takes her drone for walks and captures the surroundings through photography. Author: Milena Malinowska Author: Remigiusz Rozanski
