The series about a former soldier, Reacher, is very popular. The second season of the production with Alan Ritchson in the lead role has already been concluded, but due to great viewership and opinions, a third season has been announced. After the emotional finale, only one question arises: what awaits the hero next?

The answer to this question is closely related to which Lee Child's book the series creators decide to adapt in the upcoming season. All the creators' statements and information about the upcoming sequel seem to indicate two novels. In the finale of the second series, there were also rather obvious hints about which book will be made into the show.

What we know about the third season is that it will adapt "one of the most beloved novels about Jack Reacher" to the screen, and the hero himself will find himself in a "new world", as the main actor said in an interview with ComicBook. This leads us to suspect that the events in the third season of the series will come from The Faceless Enemy or 61 Hours. Both books were well-received and popular among readers, and the plot takes the protagonist to "new" places.

The action of Tripwire takes place in Key West. Reacher lives in a small town in Florida (he didn't end up there by accident, as is the case in other novels), digging pools during the day and visiting music clubs at night. The most important clue that the creators of the series reached for this particular book was included in the finale of the second season. Around the end, Jack Reacher gives the money stolen from New Age to the people who lost their loved ones and suffered due to the Little Wing project. Milena is among these people. In the last episode, the heroine hugs her friends and, getting into the convertible, informs them that she is heading to Key West.

The second novel that may be adapted to the screen in the third series is 61 Hours. Its plot begins in South Dakota, when Reacher rides a bus full of strangers. The coach crashes during a snowstorm. Similarly, at the end of the last episode of the Amazon show with Ritchson, the protagonist enters on a bus full of anonymous passengers. The route of the journey hasn't been specified.

Which novel did the creators of the series opt for? At this moment, it's impossible to tell for sure. Impatient fans of the series can read both in the meantime.
