It has been known for a long time that Henry Cavill is a big fan of The Witcher. The actor has stressed in interviews that he has read all of Sapkowski's books and gone through CD-Project's games. Promptly, fans were overjoyed that the role of Geralt in Netflix's show went to someone who has so much love for the franchise. This will make his departure all the more disappointing.

Another star of the show commented on Henry Cavill: Anya Chalotra, who plays the role of Yennefer. In an interview with Variety she revealed how she worked with Cavill and how his expertise influenced the shooting.

"It's a breath of fresh air to work with someone who loves the material. Really. Cavill knows more than anyone else about the world of The Witcher, all the rules and regulations, terms and Witcher knowledge - he knows his stuff. That's why working with him is a blessing, because there are days when you can be discouraged about the world. And he's there beside you to say, 'Hang in there, we got this.'"

Some time ago, Netflix announced that Cavill is leaving the show, and from the fourth season on the White Wolf will be played by Liam Hemsworth. Chalotra herself has commented on the subject, admitting that shooting of The Witcher season 4 without Cavill will be a strange experience.

"It will be strange and I'm afraid I will feel the loss. I think we will all feel it," she said.

However, the actress said that she is looking forward to working with Hemsworth and is still has high hopes for The Witcher.
