This Could be Ciri's Adversary and the Main Villain in Season 4

The story shown in The Witcher from Netflix is gaining momentum, which is certainly due to the more faithful filming of the events depicted in the prose by Andrzej Sapkowski. Liam Hemsworth will soon replace Henry Cavill on the set of the show's fourth season. In the continuation of Geralt of Rivia's adventures, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and Ciri (Freya Allan) we will see new faces, as the plot requires, by the way.

Shot in parallel the spin-off about the Rats will somehow connect with the further fate of Ciri in the Witcher universe, but this is not the most important information. It's about the character who will be the main antagonist in the fourth season. We are referring here to Leo Bonhart.

As reported by Redanian Intelligence, the ruthless headhunter may be portrayed by South African actor Sharlto Copley, who recently joined the show. Although his role has not yet been confirmed, there is reason to believe that he will play the role of Leo Bonhart.

Copley is also part of the cast of the prequel about Rats, which has just been shot in South Africa and is currently in post-production. Now there's also the news about the casting for The Witcher season 4, leading everyone to speculate that Sharlto Copley is indeed Bonhart.

The actor himself is known for such films as District 9, Maleficent, Chappie or Elysium.

Who is Leo Bonhart?

For those who have not read the books, we informthat Leo Bonhart is a ruthless headhunter, who has killed several witchers in his career, which he prides himself on, carrying the medallions stolen from them. In Sapkowski's prose he has accepted a commission to eliminate the group known as Rats, with whom Ciri was traveling. The girl fell into his hands, and he quickly realized that he was dealing with a person of great importance. Therefore he imprisoned her for some time, considering what to do with her.

In the Rats spin-off, Bonhart will be the main antagonist, who will add another Witcher medallion - belonging to Berhen - to his collection. This is awitcher partly related to the books, but largely created by Netflix. His role will be played by Dolph Lundgren.

The further fate of Bonhart and Ciri will probably move to The Witcher and it is there that the final confrontation will take place. Who will come out of it alive? Only those who have read the books know.
