Freya Allan on How the Events of The Witcher Season 3 Affect Ciri; 'She Has Many Idealistic Views'

The Witcher Fest is behind us. During it, we learned some info about the third season, as told by the cast of Netflix's show.

Fans of The Witcher from Netflix are certainly looking forward to the first part of the third season debuting on the platform this week. That wait is being made more pleasant by the actors advertising the upcoming show. Last weekend they appeared in Lodz, Poland, to meet with fans at the Witcher Fest.

During a Q&A with Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan and Joey Batey, the acress playing Ciri was asked about how the events of the third season will affect her character. The actress revealed that the brutal truth about reality and the fact that her idealistic views are unrealistic will come to the character.

"Of course, with the help of Yennefer, she tries to control her powers. I also think that she is just trying to be with her family and doesn't want them to be separated. This is difficult for her. She is also trying to figure out what she wants for herself in the future and what her vision is for it.

She doesn't want to follow in the footsteps of her grandmother, who made so many mistakes and murdered people close to her. So that's a devastating aspect [of her personality - ed. note]. But she is working on it. She has a lot of idealistic views, which are quite naive. As the season progresses and she experiences certain things, she begins to understand that these views are not something she will be able to hold on to. And this is where a big change comes at the end of the season. Several changes."

So it looks like a long and bumpy road awaits Ciri in the coming episodes. Those who have read the books by Andrzej Sapkowski are already well aware that the journey of the princess of Cintra is not an easy one.

On screens, we will be able to follow the heroine's further fate from June 29 in the first part of the third season and from July 27 in the second batch of episodes.
