New DC Sperhero Tries to Harness His Superpowers in Blue Beetle Trailer

There will also be a must-see item for all DC fans. For already next month we will see the big screen debut of Blue Beetle. Unlike recent Warner Bros. superhero productions, will Angel Manuel Soto's work manage to steal the hearts of the public? As you've surely noticed, the extensive footage gives us a better look at the powers at the disposal of the main character played by Xolo Mariduena - star of the hit Netflix series, Cobra Kai. The film's main antagonist, Victoria Kord, portrayed by Susan Sarandon, also received a little more screen time,

As for the plot, the film's action focuses on Jaim Reyes (Xolo Mariduena), who returns to his family home after graduation. Unexpectedly, the protagonist becomes the owner of an ancient artifact containing space biotechnology. Thanks to it, the boy comes into possession of powerful armor and superhuman powers, becoming the titular Blue Beetle.

In addition to Mariduena and Sarandon, the production's cast includes Bruna Marquezine (Penny), Belissa Escobedo (Milagros Reyes), George Lopez (Rudy), Adriana Barraza (Nana), Elpidia Carrillo (Rocio), Damián Alcázar (Alberto) and Raoul Trujillo (Carapax).

Blue Beetle will hit the theaters on August 18.
