Yogiri Takatou appears to be a typical teenager. However, he possesses an exceptional skill that becomes apparent in the presence of a huge threat. After waking up during the school trip, the boy finds himself surrounded by complete chaos and carnage. His entire class was transported to another world, and because he slept through most of the events, he didn't receive any Gifts, which are the powers given to others by the mysterious woman responsible for their journey to this place. The rest of the students leave Yogiri and another classmate to their fate, using them as bait for the dragon. Although Yogiri himself isn't afraid of dying, he chooses to protect his companion by confronting a level 1000 monster. After all, what could go wrong? At this moment, the boy discovers the dormant power that enables him to instantly defeat his opponent with a single thought.
