Marvel's Echo Post Credits Scene Explained

The latest Marvel show, Echo, has been a big hit and is receiving positive feedback from fans and critics alike. The darker themes resonate with fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as indicated by the over 70% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. The series also includes a post-credits scene that hints at one of the upcoming threads in the MCU.

The scene shows Kingpin flying in his private jet and instructing the need to arrange a meeting before the situation escalates. At the same time, the gangster has the TV on in the background and suddenly hears that there's no candidate in the New York mayoral elections who fully meets the requirements of the city's residents.

According to journalists, it would need to be an outsider willing to fight. They believe that a person who isn't involved in local arrangements, willing to listen to the problems of ordinary people, and able to empathize with them, would gain significant support. Hearing the discussion on the news channel, Kingpin is clearly interested. This can only mean one thing: the antagonist will emerge in New York and enter the race for mayor of New York.

That would be consistent with the comics, as Kingpin actually ran for the mayor's seat. Despite being popular, he manipulated the election to secure his win. At the same time, he had to face Daredevil, so there's a chance that this is a teaser for the storyline that will propel Disney's Daredevil: Born Again, featuring Charlie Cox.

Kingpin is sure to come back even stronger and more determined. We are uncertain whether he will manipulate the elections again or if the creators will choose to transform him into a genuine man of the people, who, under the guise of a benevolent tribune, will rebuild his empire. Maya Lopez might return for this reason, to collaborate with Daredevil once again.
