A few seasons, because of the story we're telling, will need fewer episodes, and a few more. The best news is that viewers want more. However, we won't succumb to the temptation to make them happy and shoot more episodes when they hear how many episodes have been announced." Mazin doesn't seem bothered by the earlier statements from HBO's producer, nor does he seem concerned about the budget. "We always clash with the budget and then discuss why it's not enough. Ever since I've been doing this, I've never, ever been in a situation where I've said: 'I need this much or that much' and heard: 'Okay!'.
