The screenwriters' strike is definitely hampering work on upcoming movies, and studios are beginning to consider using artificial intelligence to complete their works. One such studio is Marvel Studios, which created the title sequence for Secret Invasion using this method.

Samuel L. Jackson is apparently not a fan of such a solution. In an interview with Far Out Magazine he revealed that he had concerns about artificial intelligence since his performance in The Phantom Menace in 1999.

"People have only now started to worry about it? I asked about it a long time ago. When I was first scanned for George Lucas. At the time I thought: "What's the point of all this? George and I are good friends, so we laughed a little about it, because I thought he was doing it because he had all these old actors in Episode I and if something had happened to them, he still wanted to put them in the movie," says Jackson.

Artificial intelligence is capable of making actors appear on screens even after death. Let's recall the tragically deceased Paul Walker, who passed away during the filming of Fast and Furious 7. The filmmakers were then able to recreate his face through AI technology.

Samuel L. Jackson says a definite "no" to acting in movies after death and advises other actors to follow in his footsteps.

"Future actors should do the same thing I do when I get a contract and it says the words "indefinitely" and "known and unknown." I cross it out. It's my way of saying 'No, I don't approve,'" the actor explains.

The premiere of Marvel's new show starring Samuel L. Jackson has stirred up a lot of controversy around the topic of artificial intelligence. Method Studios, responsible for the intro, has heard a lot of criticism precisely because of its use of AI. This is how the filmmakers defended their decision in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:

"Working on Secret Invasion, an immersive show exploring the infiltration of aliens into human society, provided a unique opportunity to delve into the intriguing realm of artificial intelligence, in particular to create unique attributes and character movements. The use of a custom artificial intelligence tool for this particular element worked perfectly with the overall design theme and desired aesthetic."

They also explained that the opening sequence was not created only using artificial intelligence. Human artists also worked on it, using traditional animation methods. Their work was therefore not compromised by the use of AI, which was the main argument of those who criticized the opening credits.
