Fortnite Movie? Fast and Furious Director Claims It's Possible

The fashion for movie adaptations of popular and sometimes even iconic video games is not waning, and it is difficult to predict how long this trend will continue. Soon the group of movie adaptations of games may be joined by Fortnite. After all, Louis Leterrier is interested in transferring the title to the big screen. After the release of the first part of Fast X temporarily ended his adventure with the Fast and Furious series.

During San Diego Comic-Con, the filmmaker was present at the directors' panel along with Gareth Edwards and Justin Simien. According to Screenrant, Leterrier has expressed a desire to make a Fortnite movie. He explained that he believes that the game has great potential, and that "many more stories" can be told on the big screen.. The director also suggested that he would make the potential movie both entertaining and action-packed.

Leterrier replaced Justin Lin, directing the last two The Fast and the Furious movies. Still in production is the eleventh part, and possibly a twelfth (Fast X: Part 3), if it is not possible to fit the ending into the scheduled 2025 show. The idea of filming an adaptation of Fortnite seems crazy, but in this era of fashion for video game adaptations it does not look at all impossible. Moreover, the popularity of the title could lead the movie to a box office success. Who knows, maybe even Vin Diesel himself would be jumping from the flying bus.
