Some time ago we heard about the accusations against James Wan, director of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, made by Amber Heard. The actress claimed that in the new version of the script the role of her character was greatly reduced. The director addressed the artist's allegations, denying the changes. He pointed out that in the sequel from the beginning the plot of the protagonist and his brother was the most important one.

Now new controversies have arisen over DC's production. As reported by a source reached by Variety, James Wan was planning to remove Amber Heard from the cast entirely in 2019. All because of the lack of chemistry between her and Jason Momoa, playing the title role. Recall that these were the days before the high-profile defamation trial.

As we know, the actress' dismissal never happened. Why? According to the information available to the aforementioned website, Elon Musk, Heard's former partner, was involved. When he found out about the studio's plans, he reportedly sent a letter to DC, in which he threatened that if the filmmakers dropped their collaboration with the artist, he would set the studio on fire.

However, this is only part of the controversy surrounding the upcoming movie. In court documents that recently saw the light of day - more specifically, notes from Amber Heard's therapy sessions - we can read the actress' account of working on the set. The artist described an unfriendly atmosphere and a hostile attitude towards her from the director and her on-screen partner Jason Momoa. The director was said to raise his voice at her, and the actor allegedly made her work miserable.

What will the movie surrounded by so much controvery turn out to be? We will find out on December 21. That's when James Wan's production will hit theaters.
