'This Meant a Lot to Him'; Ahsoka's Director on Hayden Christensen's Return as Anakin

Ahsoka is past the halfway mark and its plot kicks into high gear on this occasion. In the finale of the fourth episode, Ashoka finds herself in the World Between Worlds, where, to her surprise, she meets her former master, Anakin Skywalker. It is not yet known why he decided to meet his padawan there, but it can be seen that this is an extremely important moment for both of them. In a recent interview for IGN, Peter Ramsey, director of the fourth episode, told about the significance of the scene for Hayden Christensen, who is returning to the role of Anakin.

Christensen has appeared before in Obi-Wan Kenobi and has stated more than once that he loves this universe, and that every appearance as Anakin is a lot of fun for him. The actor faced a wave of criticism early in his Star Wars career and it's nice to see him finally appreciated after years. His return in Ashoka is the first meeting between Anakin and Ahsoka after a long separation, and Peter Ramsey revealed what he relayed to Hayden to best convey his emotions about the whole situation.

It was probably not difficult for the actor to understand this tip, for the reason that he himself is the father of a nine-year-old daughter. At the same time, the director had similar conversations with Rosario Dawson and wanted the actress to show Ahsoka's temporary return to her former status as a padawan, as she was to Anakin during the Clone Wars.

Fans are wondering, what the appearance of Anakin could mean for Ahsoka and whether it really is something good. This theory is fueled by the fact that at the end of the episode we can hear the Imperial March, the theme song that usually accompanies the person of Darth Vader. The creators have left us with no small conundrum, but rest assured - the fifth episode debuts on September 12 and will probably answer most of our questions.
