Zack Snyder to Direct Fortnite Adaptation?

The most popular game of this generation, Fortnite, may receive a movie adaptation. Who could take on filming such a production? There is certainly no shortage of applicants, and one of them has even admitted that he is a huge fan of the game. We are talking about Zack Snyder, who shared his thoughts on creating a live-action movie set in the universe of the famous battle royale.

During an interview with Etalk Snyder was asked if he could direct such a movie, to which he replied without hesitation that he would. The director noted that this universe is really expansive, which offers many possibilities. He also admitted that he was already planning a collaboration with Epic Games in connection with his new flagship production - Rebel Moon.

The director talked about his love for Fortnite as early as early in 2023, so it's no surprise that Snyder is being talked about in the context of a possible adaptation. The director also revealed that, in fact, the main reason he started playing the game was his son.

So far we have not received any official information about the Fortnite movie, and Snyder himself is busy with his Rebel Moon universe for Netflix. Part 1: A Child of Fire will be released on the platform and in theaters on December 22, with Part 2, The Scargiver, premiering in April 2024. Maybe after this period Zack Snyder will receive an offer to direct an adaptation of the said game.
