In The Witcher Season 3, Cahir Will Stand at Crossroads; 'Turning Point for Him'

Eamon Farren, who plays the role of Cahir, has revealed that his character will face difficult choices in the upcoming season of The Witcher.

Eamon Farren is an Australian actor who plays the role of Cahir in The Witcher from Netflix, a Nilfgaard officer whose job in the books was to find and capture Ciri during the siege of Cintra and during the Thanedd coup. At MCM Comic Con in London, the actor spoke more extensively about his character, revealing a bit of a secret about what might befall the character in the third season of The Witcher.

"I think this season, especially for Cahir, is a turning point in the story. You'll see Cahir fall apart," Farren said.

He added that the mental state of his character will reflect what readers are familiar with from novels and stories by Andrzej Sapkowski. Eamon Farren announced that the third batch of episodes will be more faithful to the source material.

"Anyone who has read the books will know that the transformation arc [of Cahir's] throughout the series is sharp and huge."

Asked, whether his character's transformation will live to see its finale in the upcoming season, Eamon Farren said a modest "yes.". The fact that the third season of The Witcher from Netflix will be more in line with what came out of Sapkowski's hand, was also declared by showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich, facing a hail of criticism from Polish fans. Given recent events, including the departure of Henry Cavill, it is clear that the show faces a tough uphill battle.
