A few months ago, the star of Captain America 4, Anthony Mackie, revealed the conditions that MCU actors must meet in order to be allowed to read the script of the production they are to star in. All of this is intended to safeguard against uncontrolled leakage of scripts of major shows. Unfortunately, despite Marvel's extreme caution, the theft of scripts has not always been prevented.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly actor Samuel L. Jackson, mentioned that his script for the first installment of The Avengers was stolen from Marvel's offices.

At the time, studio representatives decided not to take legal action. Instead, they resorted to subterfuge. In fact, they contacted the thief in order to finalize a deal for the purchase of the script, and this in turn would enable them to track him down.

"I remember that when I was preparing to work on The Avengers, someone printed out my copy of the script, which had a watermark identifying me, and put it up for sale on the Internet. I was shooting a film in Canada at the time and people from Marvel flew in to see me. The print was made in the producer's office. They discovered who was behind it. The guy got fired, left the country. We put up a fake buyer for the script, but the guy didn't come. It was crazy," he confessed.

Since then, Marvel Studios has begun to pay really close attention to protecting its materials. Security protocols have been improved to the point that on one occasion they shot down a drone that was flying over the set of one of their productions.

"They shot one down. And they followed another drone to where the operator was. They found him," the actor added.

Finally, let's recall that Samuel L. Jackson can currently be seen in Secret Invasion, which debuted on June 21 on Disney+.
