The future fate of Marvel's Cinematic Universe after the Multiverse Saga is a great unknown. And while some believe that Avengers: Secret Wars will be the last MCU movie, the more likely option is for it to continue. It seems that Kevin Feige already has a plan for the future.

At least, that's according to comments made by Joanna Robinson, who recently took part in the podcast The Watch. What did the author of the book MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios had to say about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? It turns out it could stay with us for years to come.

"We have the words of Kevin Feige, who suggests that Secret Wars will serve as a soft reboot in which they can change everything. They'll cut out everything they don't like and leave what worked on screen, or bring back characters you thought you'd never see again."

However, it seems that rebooting the universe in a way that would make sense will be a more difficult task than continuing the story. Yet there is no better event known from the comic books that lends itself to this mission than Secret Wars.

Kevin Feige probably knows this, as evidenced by the words of Joanna Robinson quoted above. The author believes that the head of the MCU is meticulously studying the comics to see how a reboot can be done.

"When the MCU expanded into TV shows and the Multiverse Saga, Feige had to learn various lessons from the comics: how superheroes could reappear, how to prevent variants and spin-offs from getting out of hand, how an annual mega-crossover event could unify a disparate lineup of heroes."

What does this mean for the future of the MCU? For now, it's unknown, as the Multiverse Saga is still underway and will conclude in Avengers: Secret Wars. Those familiar with the comic book version of this great event know that it is ideally suited to reset the universe laboriously created since 2008.

However, will this happen? We will find out when the sixth installment of "Avengers" is released, which is scheduled for 2027. Until then, it remains for us to watch the subsequent productions leading up to this event, such as the second season of Loki, available on Disney+.
