Cast of iconic sitcom Taxi had an epic reunion 45 years after the series premiered. Where are they now?

In television history, there have been many popular series, but only some gained cult status. This group of cult shows definitely includes the Taxi series, thanks to which Danny DeVito seriously kickstarted his career. The cast, including Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, Christopher Lloyd, Judd Hirsch, Marilu Henner, and Carol Kane, reunited 45 years after the sitcom's premiere.

The cast, of course, shared memories of working on the series. DeVito talked about how the cast quickly embraced the family dynamics despite not knowing each other yet. Judd Hirsch, on the other hand, mentioned that even though they weren't sure what would come of it, they gave it their all.

However, it's important to mention that this was the cast's first public meeting in years. Nevertheless, this doesn't mean that the actors from Taxi never met each other - in private, they maintain contact all the time.

The sitcom cast is still professionally active. Recently, Danny DeVito made an appearance in Disney's new version of Haunted Mansion, Judd Hirsch received an Oscar nomination this year for his role in The Fablemans, and Carol Kane portrays Pelia in the series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Meanwhile, Marilu Henner has portrayed the character of Aida Teagarden in the TV adaptations of the Aurora Teagarden books for Hallmark. Christopher Lloyd probably has the most varied career, as in addition to his on-screen appearances, he also features in video games, and one of his upcoming projects is the Knuckles series.

The Taxi series is about a group of night shift employees of a taxi company. Most characters viewed their jobs as temporary and something they could escape from. However, the implementation of these plans often ended in failure. Despite its comedic nature, the series also addressed difficult topics such as addiction, violence, and racism.
