Recall that the aforementioned character made his screen debut in the 2008 animated show Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. Captain Rex is a clone soldier loyal to to the Republic, whose designation was CT-7567, and was one of the best fighters in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. His first commander was Anakin Skywalker. Captain Rex, was one of the few clones that did not execute Order 66 - as his chip had been deactivated earlier, while he took the side of morality. According to one Star Wars fan theory, the character was part of a group of Rebels who helped disable the Death Star's force field in Return of the Jedi. Captain Rex was also friends with Jedi commander Ahsoka Tano, on whom the upcoming show focuses. What will their relationship look like in the upcoming production?
