Will He Return in The Mandalorian? 'Rise From the Ashes is Possible'

Debuting in 2019 on Disney+, The Mandalorian brought a lot of freshness to the somewhat fossilized universe of Star Wars. The first episodic production set in a galaxy far, far away, appealed to the fans for, among other things, its portrayal of an extremely colorful villain - Moff Gideon - played by Giancarlo Esposito.

The main antagonist of the show was not one of the easiest opponents. Throughout all the seasons, he has repeatedly proven himself to be an excellent strategist with more than one ace up his sleeve. Therefore, it is not surprising that even after his death in the final episode of the third part, viewers did not give credence to his definitive departure.

As a result, theories were born assuming that Gideon was in fact alive, and that the figure who died in the secret outpost on Mandalore was his clone. This is because the commander oversaw highly advanced research aimed at creating a copy of the Emperor. Interestingly, this speculation was not denied by Esposito himself. Here's what he said:

Recall that Esposito recently gave an interview to the editors of The Wrap, in which he argued that he knows nothing about the fourth season of Mandalorian. He stressed, however, that he is open to returning.

Does this mean that Moff Gideon is lurking somewhere in hiding and devising a new plan? Certainly, after the star's recent statements, these theories will only gain strength. In the meantime, we can't help but be patient and look forward to the premiere of the fourth season of The Mandalorian.
