Deadpool 3 Will Show Death of Iconic Villain? Behind-the-scenes Footage May be Revealing the Plot

The actor strike is over, so Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds were able to return to the set of Deadpool 3. We didn't have to wait long for behind-the-scenes photos, and the latest ones reveal the presence of another well-known villain in the show.

Here's the thing, the photos taken by journalists from the British Mirror editorial team, show Wolverine, clad in his iconic yellow and blue costume, fights the mutant known as Sabertooth.

Apparently, however, we won't be seeing the version of the antagonist portrayed by Liev Schreiber in X Men Origins: Wolverine from 2009, but Tyler Mane's variant of the mutant known 2000's X-Men. This is evidenced by one of the photos, which shows Deadpool holding... Sabertooth's severed head.

Unfortunately, the details of the movie's plot have not yet been revealed, so we must rely solely on speculation circulating on the web. One version assumes that Deadpool 3 will be a screen adaptation of the comic book Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe by Cullen Bunn and Dalibor Talajic. The fact that there is something to it may be evidenced by the fact that some time ago director Shawn Levy revealed that the movie is to be, in a way, an homage to the superhero universe created by FOX.

We'll find out whether fans' guesses will come true on July 26, 2024, when Deadpool 3 will debut on the big screen. Until then, we must be patient and expect more news about the movie.

Finally, let's recall that recently a rumor circulated on the Internet (via GameRant) that Dafne Keen portraying Lara, the mutant X23 from Logan, was also negotiating to take part in the third installment of Deadpool's adventures.
